Demi Lovato Hair: Short! Cute!

Demi Lovato may be returning to The X Factor for Season 3 later this year, but the 20-year-old is making some changes in her life. Namely to her hair.

Lovato debuted a new, short haircut in a tweet to fans on Tuesday night:

The singer did away with her long locks for a shoulder-grazing style complete with side-swept bangs, reminiscent of her Sonny with a Chance days.

It's not clear if she actually cut anything, of course. She could have just removed the extensions she had. Either way, it's a big change from the youngster.

Judge Judy Lawsuit: Not About Money, Accuser Says

Patric Jones says she's not suing Judge Judy just to get money.

The ex-wife of a producer for Judy (real name Judith Sheindlin) is suing her over some expensive china and silverware she claims is worth $514,000.

Perry Wander, Jones' attorney, told E! News that all his client wants are the dishes - purchased during her marriage to producer Randall Douthit - back.

"She wants the china," Wander says, "There's an emotional attachment to this family china and silverware. She wants it back. She doesn't want the money."

So why is she suing Judge Judy?

The attorney added, "The case is about getting the china back from Judge Judy and the case is basically unwinding what was basically a fraudulent transaction."

Because both spouses did not consent to the deal, which he says Judy conspired with him to make, it is allegedly "voidable under California law."

Wander admits that Sheindlins's conduct may not have violated the letter of the law, but claims "regardless of whether it is legal or illegal it is unethical."

Judge Judy responded with the following statement: "I have not seen any complaint by the former Mrs. Douthit, however, I don't owe this lady a cent."

"If this woman would spend her time more productively at trying to find a job, instead of abusing the judicial system with frivolous lawsuits, we would all be a lot better off."

"From my perspective, I've lived life kind of selfishly for a long time," says 29-year-old Sean, who is a conservative Christian and "born-again virgin."

"Now, I'm going to try to live the way I know to be right."

For Catherine Giudici, the reasoning is even simpler.

"I honor him," says his 26-year-old fiancee.

While the reality stars now can't wait to get to the altar - they say they're getting married soon! - there was a time when Catherine wouldn't say "I do."

Or was at least nervous about it.

"I was skeptical about truly falling in love with somebody because it's such an unnatural experience," she said. "[My best friend] signed me up against my will."

Catherine added that going on The Bachelor and meeting Sean "obviously shattered those [fears] pretty quickly and found the man of my dreams."

Pi Day is here again! You know, March 14? 3/14? Get it?!

For those of us who aren't irrationally interested in numbers, Pi is named after a mathematical constant - the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter.

While usually rounded to 3.14, Pi is not a finite number. In actuality it is 22/7, which has been calculated to a million-plus digits. It is LITERALLY never-ending.

Here are some ways to mark this special occasion:

• Bake yourself a Pumpkin Pi. It's funny and probably tastes awesome.
• Wish everyone a happy Pi Day just to see if anyone actually gets it.
• Go for a 5K run. That's 3.10 miles, which is like really close to 3.14.

David Hester's lawsuit against A&E, claiming he was wrongfully terminated and that Storage Wars is rigged, has been somewhat limited by judge's ruling.

As such, A&E has drawn first blood in this legal battle.

L.A. Superior Court judge Michael Johnson tossed Hester's claim of unfair business practices, and stated that his wrongful termination claims must be more specific.

Hester is a professional buyer of abandoned storage lockers; Storage Wars shows him and other buyers competing for the contents of those lockers.

He is challenging the producer's allegedly unethical behavior in "salting" storage units, which he says runs in violation of the Communication Act of 1934.

David Hester says A&E engages in the banned practice of "influencing, prearranging, or predetermining outcomes" in "contests of knowledge, skill, or chance."

Another of Hester's claims was that A&E committed unfair business practices, by making it appear that he is less skillful than his competition.

In response, A&E brought an anti-SLAPP motion to this claim.

Johnson said the claim arises from constitutionally-protected activity and the burden thus shifts to Hester to demonstrate "probability of prevailing" before proceeding.

The judge says he can't make the case, noting that unfair competition only regulates business practices within the arena of commercial speech.

Hester's claim, Johnson claims, "arises entirely out of non-commercial conduct concerning the production and broadcast of an expressive work."

Hester's lawyer attempted to point out that some of the activity that is being objected to wasn't aired. For example, producers issued press releases.

The judge found the argument "not persuasive," saying there is a distinction between speech promoting commercial activities and speech within expressive work.

The judge also dismisses Hester's claim of wrongful termination of employment in violation of public policy, but allows Hester to revive the claim with more specificity.

Hester's other claims for breach of contract and breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing weren't addressed at the hearing this week.

A&E says Hester is trying "to convert a garden-variety breach of contract claim into a tabloid-worthy drama, in which Hester portrays himself as a crusading whistleblower."

It's easy to give Jenelle Evans a hard time, or to simply your eyes at her.

Evans' attorney, Dustin Sullivan, confirms that she is back in rehab again for the second time in a week, and it's not just for anxiety, stress or exhaustion.
"Jenelle is in a rehabilitation treatment facility in North Carolina to address addiction issues for drug use," said Sullivan. It's reportedly heroin, no less.
While she's always been a bit of a loose cannon with deeply-rooted emotional hang-ups, there's a difference between that and a bona fide drug problem.
Teen Mom cohort Amber Portwood knows this all too well, and is serving a five-YEAR sentence in prison as a result of losing battles against addiction.
It's life-altering, and Amber could even be considered lucky. If Jenelle doesn't get her act together, her continued downward spiral could end tragically.
Much as we miss her on Twitter, Jenelle Evans needs to be in rehab as long as it takes. At least on the surface, it looks like she finally got the message.
Her last Tweet, on March 2, said "this" is for her son Jace.

For both her sake, and her little boy's, we hope she goes into this rehab stint - and comes out of it - truly determined to make positive life changes.

Marion Adams - a multimedia teacher and track and field coach at Rio Londa High School in California - died this week in a terrifying bicycle accident, reports The Sacramento Bee.
The 59-year old was riding away from practice on Monday when he looked over his shoulder to bid farewell to a student.

Tragically, Adams therefore failed to see a partially opened metal gate in the school parking lot and could not slow down in time to avoid it.
He was impaled on the structure, rushed to Mercy San Juan Hospital and initially survived two surgeries to treat internal injuries before passing away.

The first poster for The Hangover III has been unveiled - and it may look a tad familiar to some movie fans.
In a hilarious nod to the final installment of the Harry Potter franchise, the photo uses the same tagline ("It All Ends") and the same epic staredown between key characters.
Although this time it's Zach Galifianakis' Alan squaring off against Ken Jeong's Leslie Chow. Not exactly the same stakes as Harry versus Voldemort.

Look for Alan to take center stage in the conclusion to this saga and look for The Hangover III to hit theaters on May 24.

A loyal German Shepherd in France saved his 63-year-old owner from committing suicide by leaping and knocking aside the gun she had pointed at her heart.

The woman walked into her garden in the French town of Sorgues and fired several test shots with a .22 caliber rifle before turning the gun on herself.
Just as she was about to pull the trigger, her loyal German Shepherd prevented the suicide, jumping in and knocking the weapon from her hands.
The gun went off and she did suffer a chest injury, but her wound was only superficial. She was found by her husband, who rushed her to a hospital.
"As she pulled the trigger, her dog jumped on her and diverted the shot. [The dog] likely sensed things and knocked into her to save her," local police said.

Looks like the reported wedding is proceeding as planned.
